When you want cargo covered during transport, an enclosed trailer gives you an alternative to an open bed. Hitched Up Trailers offers enclosed trailer rentals from our Valley, Nebraska, location for customers planning moves, equipment transport and other hauling projects.
Our rental fleet includes 7-foot by 16-foot enclosed trailers. Check the listings for current availability and specifications, then choose dates that cover pickup, loading, travel and return.
Measure the Door as Well as the Cargo Space
An advertised trailer size is a starting point. Before booking, confirm usable interior length, width and height, plus the door opening and any space taken up by wheel wells. A tall cabinet or wide piece of equipment must fit through the opening as well as inside the trailer.
If you plan to load wheeled equipment, ask about the door or ramp configuration and its rating. Share your largest item's measurements with us before pickup so you can resolve fit questions early.
Plan What Goes Inside
List the items you intend to carry and estimate their combined weight. Include boxes, tools and accessories, not just the largest item. Confirm the trailer's payload and your tow vehicle's capacity for the complete load.
An enclosed body provides cover, but items still need suitable securement and protection from movement. Ask which tie-down equipment is included and what you should bring. Do not assume a rental includes blankets, straps, locks or other moving supplies.
For moisture-sensitive cargo, use appropriate packing and ask about the trailer's condition and suitability. Covered transport is not the same as climate-controlled storage.
Make Pickup and Return Part of the Plan
Check access at both ends of your trip, including room to position the trailer and open its doors. Confirm the agreed return time and any cleaning requirements before leaving the dealership.
If dates are important, check availability before coordinating movers, equipment pickup or access to a building.
