A cleanup or material-hauling job is easier to plan when you know how the load will travel and where it will be unloaded. Hitched Up Trailers offers dump trailer rentals at our Valley, Nebraska, dealership.
Explore our 7-foot by 14-foot 14K dump trailer rental for current specifications, rates and availability. Contact us with the material you plan to haul before booking.
Know the Weight of Your Material
Soil, gravel, concrete and other dense materials can reach a trailer's weight limit well before the bed looks full. Confirm the weight of the proposed load and the trailer's available payload. The 14K gross vehicle weight rating includes the trailer and its cargo; it is not a 14,000-pound payload allowance.
Ask your supplier about material weight, and match the full loaded trailer to your tow vehicle and towing equipment. Do not use bed volume as the only loading limit.
Confirm Where the Load Can Go
Before a cleanup, contact the disposal facility about accepted materials, fees and operating hours. Ask us whether your intended material is permitted under the rental agreement. A trailer reservation does not include permission to dispose of material at a particular site.
Plan the unloading area too. Follow the trailer manufacturer's operating instructions, use firm and level ground, and check overhead clearance before raising the bed. Keep people clear of the dumping area. Never work beneath a raised bed unless it is properly supported according to the manufacturer's instructions.
A Rental Checklist for Your Project
- Identify the material and estimate its total weight.
- Confirm trailer payload, tow vehicle suitability and required towing equipment.
- Arrange a suitable loading and unloading location.
- Check disposal rules and include facility hours in your schedule.
- Review dump controls, load-covering requirements and return conditions at pickup.
If your job needs multiple trips, allow time for each trip when selecting the rental period. Check the listing and agreement for the rental's current terms.
